There’s an old saying, “if you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life.”

Coastal Sun embodies this quote in more ways than one. Let’s take a closer look at what sets them apart from other brands.

The Science:

Coastal Sun is Enviroganic Certified and grows all of their flower outdoors using phytonutrient cultivation. This process of using phytonutrients helps their “Healthy Plants, Heal People.” Phytonutrients are a group of compounds found in plants that help to protect humans from diseases and illnesses.

By using phytonutrient cultivation, they have found a way to guide the cannabis plant in producing its peak level of these disease-fighting elements. So not only are they growing medicine, they are also doing in it in a way that helps our environment.

Coastal Sun uses "Bioponics” which is an organic containerized cultivation. This method conserves precious resources by recycling water, nutrients, and growing media, yet still increasing production per square foot. By doing so they consistently produce flower with the look, quality, and aroma of an indoor grow - but in a more economical and environmentally efficient greenhouse setting.

The Location:

Coastal Sun is in the heart of Watsonville, CA, and grows its premium cannabis next to certified organic blueberries. These blueberries are an extension of Coastal Sun's farm, called Coastal Moon. By growing their cannabis with blueberries in a Greenhouse they produce a flavorful flower with the perfect amount of sunlight. Coastal Sun has a cannabis nursery as well called Coastal Star.

What We Love about them:

Santa Cruz Naturals loves supporting local businesses, especially Coastal Sun. This farm consistently provides us with top-notch flower and concentrates for an amazing price. Their signature strains have won our customers over time and time again. Our personal favorite strains are Banjo and 501 OG. Not only do they grow premium cannabis, but they do it in a way that helps support our environmentalist ethos!
